EGC has worked with the County Executive and Health Department to develop a plan for safely opening. Below is a quick list of the most important aspects. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

• Class sizes will be limited to allow students to maintain distancing during class.

• Class times are staggered to allow one group to exit before the next enters.

• Students will need to wear a mask when entering and exiting class, and will remove the mask once they are properly distanced.

• Spectators are limited to two per family and must wear masks at all times while in the building.

• New Drop Off & Pick Up Procedure Video: CLICK HERE

• Staff, students and spectators will need to complete a wellness check at home each day that they will enter the building. Make up tokens will be issued with no expiration date anytime your child is unable to attend class and you notify us in advance.  (Link Above)

Update 5/27/20
Dear EGC Family,

We cannot thank you enough for your wonderful support and kind words at this difficult time. Over the past two months we have been overwhelmed by words of support via email and social media. It has given us encouragement that even though we are in isolation, the EGC Gym Family continues to work through tough times together. Thank you!

Many gymnastics clubs across the country have sadly announced that they will not be able to open after the prolonged shut down. Thankfully the amazing support of our gym families and the funds reserved for the scheduled parking lot repairs have helped us to keep the business going. Sadly the parking lot paving that was scheduled for this summer will likely need to wait ☹ but we are working on revised plans to get us through. We understand that each family situation is different, and we greatly appreciate the support of those who have been able to support the gym at this tough time. We are thinking of you all and hope that we can all be back on our feet and back in the gym again very soon.

The Spring Session will officially end June 20. The final tuition payment for the Spring Session ran on Autopay last week. Payment can be made online on the link below or mailed to the gym if your account is not registered with Autopay.

We are working with the County Executive and County Health Department and will update you as we know more about our opening plan. Sadly we do not anticipate being able to hold any classes before June 20, but we will update you as soon as possible. All make up tokens and tuition credits will be applied to each family account by June 20 based on the membership level that you have selected.

The Summer Session is scheduled to begin June 29. With the current NY opening schedule we do believe that we will be able to open the Summer Session on time. We will update you if that changes. We are revising the summer class schedule due to the new guidelines. Classes will be smaller and health and safety guidelines will be followed. We will take many precautions to make sure that the entire EGC Gym family stays as healthy and safe as possible. Families that want to continue but don’t feel comfortable with classes will be able to enroll in Zoom classes or private and small group lessons. More information will be sent home soon. Your support through the summer is very important to keep EGC running.

Thank you for believing in us, supporting us and most importantly trusting your most precious treasure to us. Thank you for your continued support!

Update 3/30/2020
Dear EGC Family,

I hope that this message finds you and your family in good health and spirits. The EGC staff family is all doing well and very eager to get back to our daily life of smiles, giggles, hard work and a lot of fun! Our once full of life facility is eerily quiet and void of the normal excitement, love and happiness that we know. Walking through the empty building is heartbreaking especially knowing that many businesses like ours will not be able to reopen after the health threat subsides.

Over the past weeks we have been overwhelmed by words of support via email and social media. It has given us encouragement that even though we are in isolation, our community continues to work through this crisis together. Thank you!

Our Promise to you and your children is that our amazing EGC family will weather this storm and come back strong. To whatever extent necessary, every dollar we have saved will be pledged to our recovery and rebuilding. At the moment we have trimmed every single non-essential expense and are paying as many staff as we can while still covering necessary expenses. To come back strong requires very careful budgeting and you can help our cause significantly.

We understand that every family situation is different at this difficult time. We have created three different levels of membership for the time that we need to stay closed:

Gold Medal Member:
I am happy to pay full tuition during the break to keep EGC operating. In return I will receive the following:
*Makeup tokens for every missed class (no expiration date).
One make up token per month can be used for a semi-private lesson or clinic.  Three make up tokens can be redeemed for a camp.  More details coming soon
*Free EGC Warrior Training trial pass for your child or to share with a friend
*1 year of discounted VIP Rates on Kids Night Out events & EGC Parties (25% off)
*AND an awesome limited edition Tshirt designed by Coach Danielle

Silver Medal Member
I am happy to pay full tuition to help EGC with operating expenses. 50% of each monthly tuition will be applied toward the current month and 50% will be credited toward future tuition/camps/clothing.

(Ex: If EGC is closed in April and tuition is $100, $50 will be applied toward April tuition and $50 applied toward May tuition or other future charges). In return I will receive the following:
*Makeup tokens for ½ of the missed classes (no expiration date).
*Free EGC Warrior Training trial pass for your child or to share with a friend

Bronze Medal Member
I am happy to pay 50% tuition to help the club with operating expenses in return for the full value of what I pay as a credit on my account. The tuition paid for classes while the gym is closed will be credited toward future tuition and/or camps, clothing etc.

(Ex: If EGC is closed for all of April, the 50% of April tuition paid will be applied toward May tuition or other future charges. No make ups will be given. If EGC opens part way through a month, tuition will be prorated).

Please select your level online here: CLICK HERE

Thank you for believing in us, supporting us and most importantly trusting your most precious treasure to us. Thank you for your continued support!

Update 3/15/20

EGC Family,

We will continue to update our policies as the situation unfolds, and will email all current families and also update this page.

EGC Classes & Make ups

EGC will remain open for classes as long as we are able to. We understand that children need the physical outlet as well as the sense of some normalcy as much as possible right now. We have policy changes to help limit the risks, and we will continue to update them as needed.

*If we need to close we will email all EGC families, post on Facebook and WETM.

*If your child will miss class please let us know and make up tokens will be generated for each absence. All EGC tokens will now have no expiration date as long as your child is registered. If your child will miss class please let us know by calling 607-733-0145 or reporting the absence on the parent portal. You may report several weeks of absence or add more time later if needed. We appreciate families letting us know their child’s absence dates so that we can plan accordingly.

NEW!

*Families that are able to, please drop your child off for class instead of staying in the building. We understand that especially with our youngest gymnasts this is not always possible, but any reduction to the number of people in the building at one time helps.

*Please limit one spectator per family whenever possible.

*Drinking fountains will be closed. Please send your child with a labeled water bottle.

EGC Camps

With schools closing we want to help EGC families in any way that we can, while also keeping the health & safety of our EGC families as a top priority.

EGC will be offering some daytime camps. If you are able to stay home with your kids, please do so to leave options for parents who cannot.

Half day options are available. Please only use camps that you need.

Camp numbers will be limited in size, and only current EGC families are allowed.

We will continue cleaning throughout the day and all illness policies below will remain in effect.

We will open one week of camps at a time. Every Thursday camps for the following week will be added if we are able to continue to offer this service.

Registration is open here CLICK HERE

EGC Family,

We would like to take a moment to address the public concern for the Corona Virus aka COVID-19. We do not want to buy into the fear, but will gladly address any concerns that you might have. We do take very seriously any threat to our children including the cold & flu season that is still in our area.

What are we doing?

*Throughout the year and especially during cold & flu season all EGC equipment, carpets & mats are fogged with a hospital grade disinfectant. We have increased the frequency of the fogging and disinfecting all surfaces.

*Students and coaches use hand sanitizer before and after every class. We also have hand sanitizer available in the lobby and viewing area for your convenience. Bathrooms are stocked with antibacterial soap. Please alert the desk staff if a hand sanitizer or soap dispenser is empty.

*Children exhibiting signs of illness will be sent home to rest and recover and a make up token will be given.

*Effective today all new make up tokens will have no expiration date as long as your child is currently registered. If you do decide to withdraw from the program, the tokens will expire on the withdrawal date.

*Our illness policy is still in effect. Please remember that your child must be free from symptoms without the use of medicine for at least 24 hours before returning to class.

*All coaches have been instructed to stay home if they are not feeling well or have any signs of illness. Our coaches have done an incredible job of stepping up to cover when needed.

What can you do?

*If your child has been sick or doesn’t feel well in any way, please keep them home to rest. Report the absence on the Parent Portal, phone app or by calling 607-733-0145. Remember, you can always make up the class.

*Please keep all sick family members out of the building including siblings and adults who may come to watch.

*Please make sure your child is regularly washing their hands. The simple act of washing hands with soap & water could drastically reduce the transmission of cold, flu and other viruses. Lather up and sing Happy Birthday twice before you rinse. In case you haven’t already seen the recommendations a million times, the CDC hand washing instructions can be found online here:  CLICK HERE

*Encourage your children to cover their mouth and nose with a tissue or their elbow when they cough or sneeze (and then throw away the tissue).

*Remind all family members to avoid touching their face, eyes, nose & mouth.

*Make sure all family members are getting plenty of sleep and eating healthy to help support a healthy immune system.

We adore your children and will do everything in our power to keep them safe, happy and healthy while they are training at EGC. If you have any questions please let us know.

I’ll see you at the gym!

Sincerely,
Laura Monichetti
